Hello Friends,
I've decided that after this crazy summer I've had and the exciting school year that I have coming up that I would try out writing a blog. I've realized that I don't keep in touch with all of my friends as well as I would like to, and I know this year is going to be crazy busy so I'm hoping to keep people up to date on my life if they're interested :)
Soooo for those of you who don't know at this point, I joined the NYC Teaching Fellows this summer and I will be a 7th and 8th grade math teacher in the Bronx starting on September 2nd! I'm SO excited and SO nervous about becoming a teacher, but most of all I'm just happy that I made the decision to do something that I love even though it will make life a lot harder during the next two years. Everyone says that the first few years of teaching are the hardest as you find your management skills, teaching style, and organization, but on top of that I will be getitng my masters at night! I think the biggest thing I need to do is stay organized and it will all be ok.
